The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH is an ultra-wide-angle prime designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras? This bright f/2 maximum aperture strikes a good balance between speed, size, and weight, providing a portable form factor as well as the ability to excel in low light conditions. Five aspherical elements work together to reduce spherical aberrations for enhanced sharpness, and anomalous partial dispersion glass is used to suppress colour fringing for high clarity and colour accuracy. Additionally, multilayer coatings were used to reduce flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. Dual Syncro Drive stepping motors facilitate fast and quiet autofocus performance for both stills and videos, complementing the optics.
