Overview

Nikon's AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II Lens features a fast constant maximum aperture, which is useful in low-light conditions. It is an excellent lens for telephoto applications, including portraits, and is used by both professionals and amateurs alike. FX-format lenses can also be used on DX-format DSLRs. Vibration Reduction (VR II) reduces blur caused by camera shake during handheld telephoto shooting, even in low-light conditions. The shutter speed is 3.5 stops faster than what the camera is set for.

Fast autofocus is achieved by the Internal Focus System, while the Silent Wave AF Motor lets you adjust focus quietly and smoothly.
